Fight against the cherry blossoms - Day4+5

Urgh. Last two days I did nearly anything... I marked and cut a part of the fabric yesterday. But apart from that... Well. Today I slept most of the time. Half because I was tired. And half because I didn't want to play with my mothers godchild XP
Oh, and my cherries buds have become green at the top.

(And I forgot again to post instead of saving XD" )

Sewing against the cherry blossoms - Day3

Well, I did nothing today. Came home from work really late, and mom hadn't ironed my fabric (a few minutes ago she told me she hadn't been in the mood to iron o.Ò). And because of babysitting I havn't had the time to start another try on ironing it by myself. So today really was a day without results...
Oh, but I think the peaks of the buds on my cherries have become lighter.

Sewing against the cherry blossoms - Day2

Haaah.. I hate it. I couldn't do anything on Dratini, though I had enough time. But before I can start cutting the fabric (you really don't need a pattern for kimono/yukata), I have to iron it - and that's the point, our iron hates me. It doesn't work no matter what I'm doing. So I'll have to wait for my mam ironing it tomorrow... But I started calculating how to cut it. So perhaps I can start with sewing toorrow. If not (if my sis seys it's to late and sewing is too noisy when I'm back from babysitting), I'll start on thursday. I hope I'll be able to finish sewing the yukata the weekend.

Well, pictures. First, whole thing (only because of the cat in there XD), then one branch (with cats ass). And after that the fabric.

Sewing against the cherry blossoms - Day1

Well, I'm now start a little experiment. Or rather, I'll combine two things I want/have to do.
I wanted to have cherry blossoms in my room, and I'll have to do my Dratini cosplay before LBM.
So this evening I cut off two branches of our neighbourghs cherry tree. I put them in water and now I'll take photos every morning and evening and post them here. I'm doing this following the tradition of so called "barbara trees". As a result from what I read the first blossoms should bloom in about three weeks. That means for me I have three weeks for Dratini. Leaves one week for Lavis trousers who have to be done as well till LBM... But I'll do it!
Parallel to cutting the branches I washed all the fabric I buyed for Dratini on saturday. The white fabric is dry already, the blue one will be in an hour, so I'll post the pictures here tomorrow.
(And now I'll go and continue working on the update about the last weeks)

See, pictures. First the whole thing, after that both single branches.

A few things from the last weeks - Part 1

Yeah, I was really lazy the last weeks... But I'll only talk a bit about everything (because I don't remember much XD).

One week after our shooting (the shooting was the last thing I talked about here) was the Chisaii. On thursday I visited Thym so she could teach me how to put on the hakama. That day I found out Asta and Thym didn't have the iaido course that weekend. But even though they didn't come to the Chi. I wore my Kikyo cos at the Chisaii and I have to say, except for the wig its very comfortable to wear. Okay, I have to admit that flip-flops and socks are a little cold (and wet) when you're going outside in the snow (and they're very slippery). But that's a thing one has to accept and it's livable (I had three pair of white socks with me). Again, there were no pictures of me. I don't know how I do it, but I have the feeling I'm fleeing from the cameras...
